PONGGAL VIZHA 2012 & 25th AGM KARAK BRANCH

Malaysia Namakkal Welfare Association, Karak Branch had held its Ponggal Vizha followed by their 25th AGM @ Kolej Komuniti Karak . About 20 families took part in the Ponggal Vizha and about 60 members of Karak branch and Mr R karunakaran PJK the National President with Mr Gunasegaraaran PJK the National Secretary & Capt(Rtd) K. Nallaiah PJK the national Treasure also the Chaiman of Batu caves Branch Mr K. Thangamuthu attended the AGM. Mr Jysoon Leong Kim Soon the Political Secretary to Health Minister YB Dto Sri Liow Tiong Lai, officiated the 25th AGM. In his speech he thanked the Karak Branch for organising events for the Karak Indian community and had agreed to give a grand of RM10,000.The new office bearers and committee members were elected for 2012 & 2013 as follows:

Deputy Chairman : Mr K. Nagendran

Secretary : Mr E. Subramaniam

Asst Secretary : Mr S. Ganesan

Treasurer : Mr S. Ramasamy

The Committee Members are Mr R. Mathiyarasu, Mr K. Rathakrishnan , MR Rajagobal, Mr S. Gunasegaran, Mr M. Nagendran, Ms Jaya Letchumy, Mrs Nirmala, Dr R. Ranjith Raman, Mr Thiagu .

The following members were appointed by the Committee to assist in organizing the 56th National Deligates Meeting to be held at Kuantan organized by Karak Branch:S. Sellamuthu, M. Ramasamy, K.Nadesan, M. Kumarasamy & Dato' Rasadurai.
